Extremity Medical, LLC announces that over twenty AlignX Ankle Fusion System cases have been successfully completed since its May 23rd release.

Wesley Stotler, DO stated,“Thus far, this ankle fusion plate has performed outstandingly. The unique design of this plate has allowed for minimal bone preparation, strong axial compression, and rigid fixation. Additionally, the unique fusion window allows for the option to place bone graft.”

Michael Clare, MD commented,“These first cases have shown the versatility of the design of this system as it has performed well for a variety of indications including primary ankle fusion, fusion with a valgus deformity, failed ORIF of a trimal ankle fracture, and a TTC fusion for the revision of a failed ankle fusion.”

Matt Lyons, Chairman and CEO of Extremity Medical commented,“the positive feedback on these initial cases are in line with Extremity Medical’s belief that the AlignX Ankle Fusion System has significant advantages in both biomechanical and OR efficiencies and will have a significant impact on the ankle fusion market.”

The AlignX Ankle Fusion System will be showcased at the Extremity Medical exhibit at the upcoming AOFAS Annual Meeting in Toronto, Ontario (July 20-23rd).
